New Forum, New Rules for Forums and Comments

Today we've launched a brand new forum here on ThemeShark.com using Drupal's native forum module. We've opted to ditch SMF which is what we had been using prior to this. We were experiencing some strange problems with account syncing, and additionally some difficulty with spam. We apologize for any inconvenience or lost posts from the old forum, because we're starting it fresh - migrating SMF to Drupal turned out to be far to tedious of a process to undertake.

In addition to the new forum, we've got some new posting rules to announce. The signature system is now being handled slightly different, and old users will need to re-enter their signature by editing their account in order to have it appear.

For the signatures, we now request that you only include one link per signature. Links are now to be included using standard HTML tags. Any additional links will be removed. Please keep non-relevant links to sites you're promoting out of the posts themselves. Any link that appears in a post that is not relevant to Drupal or ThemeShark.com will be removed.

We're going to be enforcing some rules on comments, too. Once again, you must limit any links to your signatures. Any link that appears in a comment not related to the article you're commenting on will be removed. Any comments that are not relevant to the article or post, or that seem sketchy in some way will also be removed.

Hopefully these changes will help to keep all of the back-linking and spamming we've been seeing lately under control. We've deleted a massive amount of comments recently that exist purely for self-promotion, and we'll continue to do so.

Thanks, everyone, for your understanding and continued support!
