Hello,
There isn't a forum for Marine, so I'll ask here:
1/ In the slider on the front page, in the arrows that go over the images - < and >, the border of the image - a white line gets draws over it. When I mouse over it, the line goes away - until the next image comes in. Is there a fix?
2/ Is there a way to get the normal list of articles on the front page - that is, the pages which are set to be promoted to the front page?
Thanks in advance!
Karl

Back at the end of 2007 I took note that there were very few premium Drupal theme sites, and I started working on learning the platform and Drupal theming methods. I hadn't used Drupal prior to...

What browser are you using? I unfortunately don't see the white line effect on any of the ones I test on. Does it do it at the mobile widths, too?
To get a normal front page, you just need to remove page--front.tpl.php from the marine/templates folder and clear the cache.
Thanks for the reply Rob!
1/ It appears the white line may be associated with Safari v6.0 on the Mac. It's a pre-release version, and when I tried Safari 5.1.7 I don't get the line, so sorry for alarming you!!
2/ Thanks for the info about removing the front page template.
3/ New question:
There seem to be some issues when viewing the theme on an iPad or iPhone in portrait rotation. The background to the left of the content is chopped, but not the right. That is, when viewed in landscape, you can see content to the left and right of the main content, but in portrait, the space on the left disappears. Also, when I rotate the typography page of the demo from landscape to portrait, everything to the left of the 'y' in typography is off the screen (which I can swipe back in to view).

Karl
Thanks Karl, I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to take a closer look at it but I won't have the opportunity to until next week now. I'll post back here when I've solved it.
Thanks Rob!
One more thing...!
If you have a sub-menu which pops up - like "Menu demo" on the demo site, and you are running on, e.g. an iPad, you can tap on it to make it appear, but how do you make it disappear?
Regards,
Karl
I have been noticing that on Mobile Firefox for Android, and sometimes on Iphone Safari, it's as if the theme doesn't recognize the proper screen width, and instead of providing the navigation as a dropdown menu (or jump menu) it compresses the navigation buttons and stacks them into two rows. Like an ugly version of the landscape/tablet layout.
Is anybody else having this issue? It works fine with Mobile Chrome, Dolphin, but is very hit or miss with Firefox.
Please help if you can. Thanks,
Lance
